FAQ

Q: Wait, I thought MilkBoy was a recording studio?

A: MilkBoy the Studio, now located at 421 N 7th St. & still recording some of your favorite albums & artists- is where all this started in 1994 (Celebrating 30 years of MilkBoy!) Owners Jamie Lokoff & Tommy Joyner went on to open MilkBoy Coffee in Ardmore, PA in 2006, breaking into the hospitality industry. A cafe concept rooted in MilkBoy's dedication to music, with local & touring artists playing live sets while the smell of coffee wafted throughout. In 2011, they packed up the idea, moving to 11th & Chestnut St. in Center City to grow into a full restaurant, bar & music venue. And so- MilkBoy Philly was born!

MilkBoy Philly offers an upstairs music venue that hosts an impressive lineup of local and nationally recognized musicians, two full bars and a stepped up food and beverage program. MilkBoy Philly does triple time with early AM crowds opening weekdays at 7 a.m. offering the full drink and food menu thanks to  neighboring hospitals, as well as a happy hour following and the late night scene.

MilkBoy Philly’s food menu reflects a dedication to quality product and a devotion to the Philadelphia dining and bar scene with options for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and every snack in between. General Manager Anna Reed and her team of some of Philly’s most skilled bartenders offer an array of creative signature cocktails & classics. Ever-rotating craft beer on tap, fun drink specials, your favorite canned brews, AND home of the famous MilkBoy Espresso Martini- an ode to the history of MilkBoy!
